Resident Artist, Actor

Nate Jorgensen is a Des Moines native. A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, Nate teaches Theatre & Speech in the Waukee Community School District. Nate received his masters in Theatre Directing from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. Nate is currently on the Iowa Thespian Board, a chapter of the Educational Theatre Association, and will serve as Chapter Director between 2025-2029. In the community, Nate has performed in a variety of productions including A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Iowa Stage), The Play That Goes Wrong (Des Moines Playhouse), Twelfth Night (Iowa Stage), Murder on the Orient Express (Des Moines Playhouse), Macbeth (Iowa Stage), and Romeo & Juliet (Iowa Stage). As a director, some of Nate’s favorite credits include Peter and the Starcatcher, The Laramie Project, Mary Poppins, The Boxcar Children, and The Book of Will.
