Callbacks, if needed, will be scheduled for Wednesday, March 19 from 6:00 PM- 9:00 PM via the email you provide below.

Actors who cannot make this time can submit a self-tape. All self-taped auditions will be reviewed by the Director and Producer. Video submissions will be accepted until 8:00 PM on March 18. Send video auditions to production@iowastage.org. For those who send self-tape, please fill out an audition form.

Everyone auditioning should be prepared to read the sides for their desired role. Sides are available below.

The director of the show will be in the room, with possible additional ISTC personnel for reading and other duties.

If the audition sign up slots are full, you may come as a walk-up, but understand that we will be giving priority to those with a slotted time. We will fit you in as time allows.

All roles are open to all ethnicities, and LGBTQ actors and actors of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to attend.

Casting for below characters:
​
ED - Thirty-five. Handsome, masculine with a boyish charm.
​
LAUREL - Thirty-five. Rather un-fancy in appearance. Thoughtful and bright, though she shows a girlish enthusiasm.
​
ALAN - Eighteen. Shamefully beautiful. A frightened child in hustler's clothing.
​
DAVID - Fifteen (going on thirty). A wonderfully bright and handsome boy​
